I've been working with Mario for nearly four years, so that's longer than a lot of marriages!! His words are always wise and his coaching is always targeted at my specific needs. In other words, he 'gets' me and I see that with his other athletes too. Even as I approach 70, we're still looking for new goals and challenges - I like that. Most importantly, we have a lot of fun. And anyone who can keep my body in shape for HMs and Ms must be doing a good job!
I started training with Mario, over 10 years ago… in a strength group classes workout… and now for approx 7-8 year as my running Coach. As I was on a little break from running at the time… from a work injury. Mario got me motived to start running again… So, we started with a program to start building things back up again…. As being already a running, it didn’t take me long to get the Km’s back into my legs again. Then we sat down, to work out some goals to aim for… As Mario being a runner, it does make a huge different… as Mario understands the pain you go though at different points of training and while at a race. Training for Berlin Marathon Mario training plan is thorough and personalized to you specifically. He monitors your runs and provides constant feedback. He taught me to run my easy runs easy, to listen to my body, to trust the process, and to feel confident in the work I was doing. This was the first Marathon Training cycle in which I didn’t feel exhausted! During my training block, I had some smaller distance races. To see how we are performing, with speed & nutrition during a race. Within some of these races, I was able to achieve a few PB. My Goals is to aim for a PB, in any event and any distance, this couldn’t have been done without Mario assistance. I Highly recommend Mario as a running Coach…
I started training with Mario when preparing for my first Ultra run. I am travelling a lot and a fixed standard training plan will just not work out for me. A personal training plan also helped in rather slowing down the efforts and training the right amount. The main target is always to be healthy at the start of the race. Standing at the start line I knew I was well-prepared for this challenge. I finished my first ultra in a time well below my original goal.
